In 1769, The Frenchman N. J. Guelneu made a three-wheeled car driven by steam generated from gas combustion, but the car's speed was only 4 kilometers per hour, and it had to stop every 15 minutes to add coal to the boiler, which was very troublesome. Then the car crashed into a brick wall and was smashed to pieces.
